Film Crew Police

As a private security officer, I sure envy former LAPD Sgt. Jerry Wolf who earns $17.48 per hour baby-sitting the movie industry’s traffic problems.
Chief Gates proposes to absorb these duties within the department, making police services available to the film industry, which would leave no doubt as to the legal status of the officers assigned to this duty.
Wolf’s comments about the safety of our streets “by some private guard at $6 an hour” can be answered by the fact most people respect the authority of any uniform, regardless of the income bracket of its wearer.
