San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein has signed into law an ordinance that bars the city from dealing with companies that do business with South Africa. Feinstein said the measure was designed to “say as loudly and clearly as we can†that the city rejects racism. Contracts of less than $5,000 are exempt from the ordinance.
