The board of directors of the Better Book Inc. of San Francisco announced that Walter D. Roach has been elected president, succeeding Donald G. Wolff, who continues as chief executive and becomes chairman of the privately held publishing firm. Roach, 46, also assumes the newly created position of chief operating officer.
