BRIEFLY : Agoura to Build Belcher Training Center
- Share via
The Agoura High booster club is planning to build a multi-station weight-training facility on campus that will be dedicated to football coach Bill Belcher, who died last fall at age 43.
The Charger Club will meet Monday to discuss the proposed facility, which will be called the Bill Belcher Center.
“There has been a need here for this type of facility for quite some time,” said Les Van Dyke, vice principal at Agoura. “The boosters wanted to take on a major project and dedicate it to the memory of Bill.”
Van Dyke also said that construction is tentatively scheduled to begin before June so the facility can be completed by the beginning of the next school year.
