Uganda National Resistance Army fighters moved eastward from the captured city of Jinja in pursuit of fleeing government soldiers. Diplomats said troops of the old government were putting up only token resistance. Uganda radio said a new president will be sworn in today. An aide to Yoweri Museveni, commander of the victorious rebels who took Kampala last weekend, said Museveni will be the new president.
