‘Hope for Poorest of Poor’

Thanks for your editorial. Bringing the work of IFAD before the eyes, minds, and hearts of your readers is indeed a worthwhile service.
This international organization, unlike many, has a proven track record. Its many programs work. And these programs do what so many Americans are wanting--they teach the poorest of the poor to be self-sustaining.
In fact, the cost has been half of what it has been to buy food for the hungry! So any penny-pinching on these programs would obviously be “penny-wise and pound-foolish.”
