Fullerton : Airport Officials, Users to Discuss Runway Use
- Share via
Fullerton Municipal Airport officials will meet with airport users Thursday to discuss the types of aircraft that can use the runway.
The discussion will include interim results of a study now under way that may bar use of the airstrip by aircraft weighing more than 9,000 pounds, said Jim Brunner, administrative assistant to the airport manager.
He said the purpose of the study, conducted by the Newport Beach consulting firm of Rawlings Enterprises Inc., is to update an existing noise and safety ordinance that prohibits certain aircraft from using the runway. The final recommendations on the use of the airport will be presented to the City Council.
