Fullerton Runs Away From Sunny Hills
Ralph Tallant scored 10 of his game-high 25 points in the third quarter Friday as Fullerton High School broke open a close Freeway League game and went on to beat Sunny Hills, 62-43.
Fullerton led by eight points at the half, and the Indians’ halfcourt press at the start of the third quarter caused several turnovers that led to Fullerton baskets.
Mike Hetland had 15 assists for the Indians (2-2 in league play, 11-7 overall). Eric Carpenter led Sunny Hills (1-3, 3-11) with 14 points.

Buena Park 59, Sonora 45--Mike Kotzin, a 6-foot-8 center, scored 14 points and had 16 rebounds to lead the Coyotes past the Raiders at Buena Park.
Brett Glahn added 12 points for Buena Park, which is 3-1 in league. Sonora is 1-3.
