An unemployed Pittsburgh bartender pleaded guilty to three counts of selling cocaine to former major league outfielder John Milner, concluding the federal government’s case against seven men indicted for dealing drugs to baseball players.

Jeffrey Lynn Mosco’s plea was the final disposition of the cocaine-trafficking scandal that dominated sports headlines last September.

Mosco and six other men were indicted last May 30, after a lengthy federal grand jury investigation into drug use by ballplayers. At least a dozen current and former major league players, most members of National League teams that played in Pittsburgh, testified before the grand jury under immunity from prosecution.
