Sari’s Heroine Wins Pasadena Stakes
Sari’s Heroine, ridden by Alex Solis, drew clear entering the stretch Wednesday and scored a 2 3/4-length victory in the $69,250 Pasadena Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.
Life At The Top, ridden by Laffit Pincay, finished second, a nose in front of An Empress, ridden by Pat Valenzuela.
The winner, a daughter of Our Hero, was timed in 1:11 for six furlongs and paid $15.20, $4.80 and $3.40. Life At The Top, half of a Wayne Lukas-trained entry sent off as the 8-5 favorite, returned $3.20 and $2.60, and An Emperess paid $3.60 to show.
