A crowd estimated at 18,000 waited several hours at Green Airport in Warwick, R.I., to welcome the New England Patriots back home Monday.
When the Patriots’ charter plane from Miami touched down, a number of fans broke through ropes, clashed with a line of 100 police and ran up ramps leading to the plane.
Five people were arrested.
