My wife and I would like to congratulate Los Angeles for having one of the best bed-and-breakfast inns in the world. I thought we British had the monopoloy. La Maida House, 11159 La Maida St., North Hollywood, is a marvelous place. The rates, from $75 to $145, are a real bargain for the splendid accommodations, delicious breakfast and courteous service. Our stay there capped what we felt was one of the most enjoyable holidays for a long time.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Los Angeles Times Travel Section during our California stay--most informative and interesting.
