Compton Community College trustees voted to raise their salaries from $20 a meeting to $240 a month, joining two other community college boards that are following a new state law. The Legislature voted last May to allow trustees to approve raises for themselves. Cerritos Community College trustees will vote in December on a proposal to raise their salaries from $30 a meeting to $400 a month.
