The Center for Child Protection at Children’s Hospital and Health Center is accepting donations of new stuffed animals and other small toys to give to the more than 1,800 victims of physical and sexual child abuse it expects to treat throughout the coming year.

To lessen the traumatic experience of the young victims, the center gives each youngster a new stuffed animal or toy to take with them. Needed items include teddy bears and other small stuffed animals, dolls, cars and trucks.

Items are also needed for older children and adolescents, such as new games and books.

Toy donations should be sent or brought to the Center for Child Protection, Children’s Hospital, 8001 Frost St.
