Golden West Falls to Cypress in Wrestling

The Cypress College wrestling team defeated Golden West, 23-21, in a South Coast College match at Golden West Wednesday night.
Golden West had a chance to win the match with a win in the heavyweight division, but the Rustlers’ Paul Johnson had to forfeit with a dislocated knee. Golden West’s Rich Brenton (190) remained unbeaten in nine dual matches.
The Rustlers are 2-4 in conference and 7-4 overall.
