Cypress Gains First Volleyball Victory

Lori Tilton had nine aces and Melanie Thomas and Barbara Schosser each added eight Wednesday night to lead the host Cypress College women’s volleyball team to its first victory of the year, a 9-15, 15-7, 15-6, 15-6 win over Mt. San Antonio College. Karen Fitzgerald added seven kills for Cypress, which is 1-12 in the South Coast Conference and 1-14 overall.
