William G. Kersten has been appointed vice president for technical operations with the Irvine-based McDonnell Douglas Field Service Company. He replaces Ken Shrimplin, who left the company. Kersten, 54, had been director of customer service for Wang Laboratories, Inc.’s Newport Beach office for five years before assuming his new position. McDonnell Douglas Field Services Company is a member of the eleven-member McDonnell Douglas Information Systems Group.
