San Juan Capistrano : Applications Taken for Planning Panel
Residents interested in serving on the Planning Commission may pick up applications from City Hall for a vacancy created by the resignation last week of Ed Moore.
The five-member commission meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at City Hall. The council is tentatively scheduled to make the appointment at its Nov. 5 meeting.
Planning Commission duties, according to City Clerk Mary Ann Hanover, include developing and maintaining a general plan and perhaps specific plans for the city; periodically reviewing San Juan’s capital improvement program; recommending to the City Council changes in land-use provisions stipulated in the Municipal Code, and making decisions on development proposals.
Applications for the post, which Moore left for personal reasons, are available at City Hall, 32400 Paseo Adelanto, or by calling (714) 493-1171 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
