John Fiedler has been named president of worldwide production for Columbia Pictures. Fiedler, who has held executive production jobs at Paramount and Tri-Star, will report to Steve Sohmer, who was recently hired as Columbia’s president and chief operating officer. Fiedler will be based in Los Angeles.
