Virus Kills 12 Newborn Babies in Yugoslavia

BELGRADE, Yugoslavia — Twelve newborn babies have died over the last three weeks from a virus infection that has swept a pediatric clinic in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, local health authorities said.
Nine infants died early last month from a virus identified as Coxaci-B, and three others succumbed in the last few days, the officials said.
Authorities quoted by the official news agency Tanjug said 36 other babies were affected and that two are in critical condition.
