McKee’s Two Goals Lead Cypress, 5-4
Kevin McKee scored with 42 seconds remaining in double overtime Wednesday to lift the Cypress College water polo team to a 5-4 nonconference victory over Fullerton in the Chargers’ pool.
McKee scored two goals in the match to help Cypress improve its record to 8-6-1, while Rick Stephan scored three goals for the Hornets, who are 1-7. Stephan’s third goal tied the game, 4-4, with 14 seconds left in regulation.
In college action:
UC Riverside 13, Chapman 6--Glen Theis scored six goals to lead the Highlanders to the victory over the Panthers in a nonconference match played at Independence Park in Fullerton. Faber Carter scored three times for Chapman, which is 1-4.
