Railroad Track Loss Deplored
I am concerned about a matter of interest to many. As you have probably noticed the railroad tracks and roadbeds of many west Los Angeles areas are being torn up. These rights of way are an important transportation resource and should be protected from development for future use. I have written letters to Councilmen Marvin Braude and Zev Yaroslavsky and Mayor Tom Bradley regarding this matter. I feel it is important for the city to establish a policy on this issue, even though they may not have immediate plans for these rights of way.
