San Diego Prep Football : Bonita Vista Has No Problems With CETYS in 40-22 Victory
Quarterback Doug Piper passed for two touchdowns and Rod De Los Reyes ran for two more to lead Bonita Vista High School to a 40-22 nonleague win over CETYS at Southwestern College Saturday night.
Piper, who completed 7 of 8 passes for 130 yards threw his first TD pass to Vince Montano early in the first quarter. A touchdown run by Eric Gomez gave Bonita Vista a 14-0 first-quarter lead. A Piper to Kip Korzep pass and a De Los Reyes run in the second quarter put the Barons ahead at the half, 28-8.
Danny Kray followed De Los Reyes’ second score by returning a blocked punt for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Bonita Vista, which forfeited a win against Madison earlier in the week for using an ineligible player, is 2-1. CETYS is 0-3.
