Museum Director Resigns: Mark Hall-Patton, the Anaheim Museum’s first director, has resigned to serve as curator of the San Luis Obispo County Historical Museum. During Hall-Patton’s 18 months as director, the museum has raised more than $434,000 to refurbish the 1909 Carnegie Library at the corner of Anaheim Boulevard and Broadway that will eventually serve as the museum’s home. Although the museum is not open yet, several traveling exhibits have been created for use by Anaheim elementary schools and more than 800 artifacts relating to Anaheim’s history have been acquired. The museum’s governing board hopes to name a new director by Oct. 15.
