CBS Inc.’s broadcast group expects lower profit.

The company attributed the expected decline in third-quarter profit to a revenue drop of at least 15%, the group’s president told securities analysts. “That should not come as a surprise,” said Gene Jankowski, who did not specify what the profit decline would be. He blamed a slower economy, a drop in advertising revenue and the comparison to a strong period a year ago.
