The convicted rapist of a Spring Valley woman, who was stranded on a freeway after her car broke down, was sentenced Friday to 14 years in state prison.
The victim, a 27-year-old legal secretary, was in the audience and afterwards said she was happy over the long term imposed on Nathan Hood, 32, of San Diego.
San Diego Superior Court Judge J. Perry Langford also fined Hood $200.
The jury convicted Hood June 21 of forcible rape and simple kidnaping. They acquitted him of attempted robbery and kidnaping for robbery.
