Mexico, Peru Play Soccer Exhibition Tonight at Coliseum

Mexico, unbeaten in its last 11 games, will meet Peru tonight at the Coliseum in an exhibition match between World Cup soccer teams.

Mexico, already assured of a berth in next year’s World Cup, recently has beaten England, Poland, Hungary and Chile, and played ties with Italy, Bulgaria, Argentina and Uruguay.

Peru is scheduled to play in the South American elimination games in October.

Peru’s previous appearance in the Coliseum was in 1978, when it defeated Mexico, 1-0.
