McDonnell Douglas bought 62 acres in Santa Ana.
Construction will begin next summer on a facility at the 62-acre site off the Costa Mesa Freeway that eventually will house many of the West Coast operations of the company’s information systems group. Price of the purchase wasn’t revealed. The facility will have 4,000 employees, who will be transferred from other Southern California plants.
