A retired schoolteacher in her mid-80s was found stabbed to death in her ransacked apartment in the 1000 block of San Pasqual Street in Pasadena. Neighbors found the body of Emily Humphrey, who had been stabbed several times, in her living room after they became concerned when she had not been seen for several hours, police said.
