A 37-year-old San Diego man was killed when he lost control of his car while traveling north on Interstate 5 just south of Carmel Valley Road, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
David F. White was traveling in the fast lane when he apparently lost control and his car crossed three lanes of traffic and overturned twice at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was thrown from the car and suffered massive head injuries, the spokesman said. He was taken by ambulance to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where he died a short time later.
