The Long Beach Grand Opera and the Long Beach Symphony have received grants from the Los Angeles County Music and Performing Arts Commission.
The opera was awarded $43,569 and the symphony $14,569.
Overall, the commission distributed $327,000 to 14 orchestras and $712,000 to 45 music and dance groups.
