Whittaker Corp. reported a 14% decline in third-quarter profit as revenue fell 19% from a year earlier. The company said the declines in the period ended July 31 were attributable primarily to the costs of completing its overseas health-care programs. Whittaker said the sale earlier this year of its recreational powerboat businesses also contributed to the declines.
