Palm Valley Country Club to Hold Clubhouse Fete

Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert, next weekend will celebrate the formal opening of its $15-million, two-level, 83,000-square-foot clubhouse and four new model homes added to the four existing models.
The clubhouse and model home complex will open to visitors at 9 a.m. Saturday and festivities will begin at 11 a.m. They will include continuous live music, live radio broadcasts, demonstrations by golf trick-shot artist Paul Hahn Jr., an appearance by physical fitness specialist Bob Lavetta and martial arts expert So-shihan-dai-kengo Manogo, and a sky-diving exhibition Sunday morning.
The clubhouse’s main dining room will serve a champagne brunch Sunday and will begin serving lunches Monday. The clubhouse will also contain a cocktail lounge, meeting rooms, a complete health and fitness facility with four indoor racquetball courts, a weight room, a cardiovascular conditioning area, an aerobics room, lockers, saunas, steam, tanning and massage rooms, therapeutic spas, a supervised children’s play area, grill, swimming pool with cabana, jogging trail and 19 tennis courts. There will be two 18-hole golf courses.
The 433-acre country club at 76-200 Country Club Drive is planned for 1,266 single-story condominiums on fee-simple land, clustered in groups of four or six, with 1,330 to 1,918 square feet of space and priced from $135,995 to $239,995.
