Senate Panel Approves Envoys to India, Portugal

WASHINGTON — The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday approved, on 9-0 votes, the nominations of James G. Dean to be U.S. ambassador to India and Frank W. Shakespeare to be ambassador to Portugal.
