A Corona woman, arrested outside a municipal courtroom for allegedly trying to bribe a witness not to testify against her boyfriend, was free on bond Tuesday, a spokeswoman at the Riverside County Jail said.

Tami Lynette Vaughn, 20, was arrested by Corona police outside the Corona Municipal Court on Monday and charged with subornation, witness intimidation and bribing to dissuade a witness, Lt. Sam Spiegel said. She was booked into the Riverside County Jail on $5,000 bail.

The witness Vaughn allegedly tried to bribe was the victim of a June 25 armed robbery of a Corona gas station, Spiegel said. Vaughn allegedly offered the witness a $100 bribe to alter testimony and to fail to identify Michael Fuentes, the suspect in the case, at Monday’s preliminary hearing.

Fuentes, 27, also a Corona resident, is believed to be Vaughn’s boyfriend, Spiegel said.
