Coronado
A tip phoned in to the Crime Stoppers hot line led to the recovery Wednesday of four Apple computers stolen Monday from the Coronado Middle School on 7th Street in Coronado.
Coronado police found the equipment at the home of David Alcoser, 26, in Southeast San Diego. In County Jail on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary were Alcoser and Timothy S. McNew, 25, of Chula Vista. A minor who lives at Alcoser’s house also was taken into custody.
Detective Ed Sousek said McNew had been working for an air-conditioning contractor at the school, and had copied the school’s master key.
Sousek said the recovered property, which included four computers and accessories, was valued at $5,800.
