The Region : Drug Case Doctor Barred

Another Los Angeles-area physician, Dr. William Dupuis, 34, of Northridge, was enjoined from practicing medicine because of civil and criminal charges that he illegally prescribed drugs. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Norman L. Epstein also enjoined Lee Wiley, owner of Wiley’s Clinic and the Westside Medical Clinic, from owning, managing or working in any clinic where drugs are prescribed or dispensed. The orders were the latest in civil actions filed against 31 people by the state attorney general’s office over violations of drug laws. Dupuis is one of 17 people indicted by a federal grand jury on criminal drug charges.
