Shuttle Moved to Pad for July 12 Launching

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — The space shuttle Challenger was transported to the launching pad Saturday to be groomed for a July 12 scientific mission during which seven astronauts will study the stars, sun, galaxies and Earth’s atmosphere.
