Driver Arrested After 2 Die in Car Crash

Two people died Saturday after their car was struck by a drunk driver, police said.
Police identified the victims as Evangeline Labrador, 26, of Arleta and Joppie Mangie, 26, of Los Angeles. Their car was struck by another car traveling the wrong way on Van Nuys Boulevard near Rayen Street in Panorama City at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Sgt. Buzz Camp said.
Both died later at area hospitals.
Police arrested the driver of the other car, Ronald Serrano, 19, of Pacoima, on suspicion of drunk driving.
Serrano suffered minor injuries and may face manslaughter charges, police said.
