PG&E; got approval to build a geothermal plant.

San Francisco-based Pacific Gas & Electric said the 140-megawatt plant would be the largest in its 19-unit geothermal complex located in Sonoma and Lake counties north of San Francisco. The new $210-million plant, approved this week by the California Energy Commission, is expected to supply enough energy for 140,000 homes by April, 1988.
