A judge OKd the sale of Bevill, Bresler’s assets.

U.S. District Judge Dickinson Debevoise told a courtroom packed with lawyers for anxious creditors of the failed government securities dealer that he would permit the orderly disposal of the company’s assets to take advantage of a favorable bond market. The decision affects Bevill, Bresler & Shulman and its subsidiary, Bevill, Bresler Asset Management. The judge noted that the survival of a number of savings and loans who invested through the dealer may be at stake.
