Genaro Villanueva pleaded not guilty in San Diego Municipal Court Tuesday in the fatal Feb. 27 stabbing of actor David Huffman in Balboa Park’s Palm Canyon.
Villanueva, 17, was bound over for trial as an adult last Friday following a pretrial hearing in Juvenile Court. Municipal Judge Robert J. Cooney scheduled a July 8 preliminary hearing for the youth, who remains in custody at Juvenile Hall. Bail was set at $250,000.
