The Federal Bureau of Investigation has notified Nike Inc. that on May 30 a search and seizure was made of Olde Hickory Sales of Hickory, N.C. About 31,000 pair of socks bearing counterfeit reproductions of the composite Nike name and trademark design were discovered. The search was the culmination of a four-month undercover operation by the FBI. No arrests were made, but numerous records were confiscated in the seizure in order to gather evidence in support of a possible presentation to a federal grand jury.
