GEORGE WARS

Nothing since Watergate has shaken the Republican Party and caused such disunity as the current Wally George-George Putnam feud. How did these two symbols of conservatism and patriotism become such irreconcilable enemies?
Apparently, when asked by a radio listener what he thought of Wally’s “Hot Seat” program, Putnam allegedly called it a freak show. When he heard about this, Wally, in a emotion-choked voice, and with a heavy heart, announced on the Hot Seat Hotline that Putnam was a jerk!
Let’s hope for the country’s sake and for the Free World’s that these two end this ludicrous squabble and move on to more serious matters like collaborating on the next “Wally! Wally!” album.
