The ex-husband of a 32-year-old Spring Valley woman fatally shot the woman in her home about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, then turned the gun on himself about an hour later at a Hillcrest union hall, authorities said.
Suzanne M. Kane was shot three times after a fight outside her house with Randall D. Boone, 31, a sheriff’s spokesman said. A fourth shot missed a neighbor who was attempting to help Kane.
After the shooting, Boone fled in his car. San Diego police discovered Boone’s body at the electricians’ union hall, 215 Washington St. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
