Poland Gives Banana Boat to Nicaragua

MANAGUA, Nicaragua — Poland has given Nicaragua a 10,000-ton merchant ship to help it fight the U.S. trade embargo, the Sandinista newspaper Barricada said Wednesday.
The Wladyslaw Broniewski arrived in the Pacific port of Corinto a few days ago carrying medicine and agricultural products also donated by Poland. Barricada said the ship will transport bananas to Europe.
