The City Council has approved a new two-year contract with Porshia Alexander of America for landscape maintenance of sidewalks at Valley Mall, median center dividers throughout El Monte and lawns at four fire stations. The contract pays the company $62,825 for the first year and $64,081 the second year, a 2% increase over the current contract, said Len Therrien, assistant city administrator.
