Deputy Shoots, Kills Tustin Man
An Orange County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man at an East Tustin home this morning after he fired at him and another deputy with a shotgun, authorities said. The deputies had gone to the home in response to a call from a 16-year-old girl who lives there, Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson said.
The shooting victim, whose name was not disclosed, was dead on arrival at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. The teen-ager’s mother, who was inside the house when the gunfire erupted, sustained superficial wounds.
