Enraged Husband Kills Wife, Family in Peking

PEKING — After being told he could not see his estranged wife again, an enraged husband hacked her to death with an axe and then killed her parents and six other in-laws, a Chinese magazine reported Sunday.
The magazine, China Legal System, said Gao Xueqing, a 25-year-old peasant living in the central province of Henan, then set the nine bodies on fire.
He was tried but the sentence was not disclosed. Mass killers are usually executed.
