Veterans of Hitler’s Waffen SS ended their reunion in the Bavarian resort of Nesselwang after a weekend of protests by anti-Nazi groups. Police said 15 people were being held to face charges after fighting broke out between some demonstrators and policemen, injuring four protesters and 15 officers. The 400 veterans served in World War II with tank divisions of the Waffen SS, the combat branch of the Nazi elite force, on the Russian front, in Normandy and in the Battle of the Bulge.
